Common questions
Currently we support Rabobank CSV exports. We're actively working on adding support for ING, ABN AMRO, and other Dutch banks. The import system is built to easily accommodate new bank formats.
DimeDoktor uses a hybrid approach: first it applies your saved rules, then it uses AI-powered similarity matching with text embeddings to find patterns in your transactions. You review suggestions and approve them — the system learns from every decision you make.
Your data stays on the server and is never shared with third parties. AI processing happens through secure API calls that don't store your transaction details. We use standard Rails security practices including CSRF protection and encrypted sessions.
Absolutely. You can create your own category hierarchy with main categories and subcategories. Add descriptions to help the AI understand what belongs where. Categories are fully flexible to match your personal budget structure.
DimeDoktor offers a dashboard overview, monthly spending breakdowns, category analysis with pie and bar charts, income vs expense tracking, and flow diagrams (Sankey charts) showing where your money moves between categories.
